July & August OFTD Review

MGP Label Elle Dotted Dress

Polka dots are my weakness! ♥ It is so hard to find polka dots prints that are classic with a pop of vintage, as most out there are either badly printed or just look so cheap. This piece is so pretty and flattering.. not to mention how stretchy it can be! I was quite worried that it will be uncomfortably tight after my steamboat binge with my girlfriends; instead, it was the complete opposite of that. I like that the length is perfect for me as well, no alteration is needed 🙂

MGP Label Peyton Flora Dress

So rare to find such huge floral prints that look extremely gorgeous instead of “old fashioned aunty”. I realize that when shopping at MGP Label, you’ll be surprised at how some pieces they stock are vintage-inspired with a modern twist… different from the usual blogshop clothes we are accustomed to. Not to mention how the length is always perfect for us petite girls 🙂

Love,Bonito Lara Leather Dress

I was quite hesitant in purchasing this piece since I hardly wear anything with sleeves and leather just feels too hot for Singapore’s weather… yet I just couldn’t resist how classic this piece is. *woes of a shopaholic* Material is really thick, I won’t advise that you wear it in the afternoon and go around with your chores as you will definitely melt in it… but boy is it perfect for corporate events and chic dates with my mates. The fit is perfect even for a heavy bottom, a very effortless piece to pull off.

Tuulla All Rounder Dress

My kinda casual chic weekend dress with the ideal light material that is perfect for Singapore’s humid weather, it is made with a soft silk polyester material that moves along with every step. Unfortunately, it does crease pretty easily so I would have to be careful when I am seated. This is otherwise a really lovely piece to own, don’t you agree?

SmoochTheLabel Midas Dress

Very elegant and minimalist piece to own, the Midas Dress is perfect for days when you have important events but am not too sure on what to wear. The gold collar is the only statement accessory you need, though I like to pair it with my rose gold watch for a classic timeless feel. Hees.

MGP Label Jorie Poppies Top

Don’t the happy poppies prints just remind your of Kate Spade? Very versatile piece to own, I choose to pair it with my LBD for a casual chic look. Material is thick and do not crumple easy, two thumbs up for it!

Supergurl Furtilicious Crochet-Waist Dress

Was looking for a white dress whien this unique crochet cut-out caught my eye. The material is a bitch to iron and I was quite disappointed with how it was loose on my waist initially.. surprisingly, it was one of the more comfortable dresses I have own to date (hello breeze on my midriff) and no unnecessary flashing occurred. Due to the bottom flaring out nicely, it gave an illusion of a flattering waistline without cutting into my fats. Definitely keeping this piece in my wardrobe, but first, I need to figure a way to rid the creases!

VainGloriouYou Anastaise Embroidery Dip Waist Hem Midi

Well more like a maxi cuz of my petite frame, lol. Have been lusting VGY’s maxi dresses for ages, especially this particular piece in which so many girls look absolutely stunning in! Have been saving it for a special occasion and I finally wore it out for Ion Insider launch 🙂 Despite it being strapless with a smocked back, this baby stayed up throughout the night and just look absolutely stunning in pictures. Glad I decided to alternate from my usual choice of color and choose this rich royal purple colour; it accentuates your curves whilst hiding the tum tum. A must-have in every girl’s wardrobe I reckon!

Love,Bonito Amande Dress

One of my favourite LB dress to date, I am in love with the flattering silhouette it gives along with the subtle sexy cutting. I love it so much I actually bought the Amande Dress in both Navy and Fuschia, only to realize that the cotton jersey material and shoulder pads combo would be unflattering on the latter. Somehow it looks less sophisticated on the Fuschia shade and I could forsee that the stretchy cotton jersey would ruined everything (and make it look really cheap IRL) after a few wash. Just stick to the darker shades and it will be a perfect piece to own!

Love,Bonito Darissa Dress

It was love at first sight with the eyelet details and ruffled hemline. My perfect kinda dress for dinners and events for days when I am feeling fat and lazy. I have absolutely no complains for this dress, totally love how it sashayed and swirl when worn. Remember to pair it with heel, a really chic clutch + bold lips and you’re all set for the night!

Kayssa Alsie Knit Top

I have been looking out for a nice lilac knitted pullover for the longest time (after eyeing a gorgeous lilac x glitter version from Bimba Y Lola) so this was definitely a must buy for me! Made of comfy knits that are not at all scratchy, it is pretty long (can pair it over my LBD actually) and fitting with a surprise cutout shoulder details.. definitely going to be a fave piece in my upcoming fall/winter wardrobe 🙂

SmoochTheLabel Wallflower Asymmetrical Playsuit – FOR SALE $20

How can anyone resist this piece of playsuit?! The floral prints has one of the prettiest pink/purple combo ever, and no nude lingerie is needed as the material is pretty thick. My only gribe is that the cut is not as flattering as I had hoped it would be…at the wrong angles, my legs looked really massive and my waist was close to non-existent so I just have to let it go… Do comment if you’re interested ya!

TheDancingJewels Marco dress – SOLD!

This nautical-theme dress was beyond gorgeous in pictures and I would have love to keep it in my closet if only it was flattering on the waist. If you haven’t realize, I am very particular on the waistline and will get very turn off if the cut isn’t flattering at my waist. I hate the sight of a fat waist (when I already have a huge bottom) which also explains why I tend to avoid pairing tops with skirts as most tend to make my waist look wider than it is and accentuate the big bottom :/
