I haven’t been this excited for an eyeshadow palette for a very long time, but the arrival of Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette sure took my breathe away and far surpassed Naked Smokey 😡 This amber-hued neutral palette contains a selection of smoking browns, burnt oranges, and sizzling hot sienna shades that’s timeless and perfect for the Fall/Summer look. I’m never ever a warm palette kind of person, but this selection is surprisingly wearable for all skin types – yes, even for me!
Swatching the Naked Heat palette itself was already an amazing feeling on its own. I love how buttery smooth and intense each shade is, especially the shimmery and metallic one. Check out how heavily pigmented Ember (deep metallic copper)is, to the point that it could even conceal my tattoo 0.0 How freaking amazing is that. My weakness goes to the beautiful Lumbre that kinda reminds me of Nars Orgasm, but with much more intense rose gold duochrome blended in it. From matte to glimmers, this palette has everything you need to create from sultry daytime to smoky nighttime looks with great color payoffs and minimal fallouts; perfect for a beach vacation I reckon.
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Aulifo Libli, Chris Ling International Photographers and Z Wedding (in which I’ll talk about the latter in detail next round) recently for some shoots at Chris Ling’s studio! Despite being a graduated Z Wedding bride, this is actually my first time stepping into the studio so it was quite an eye-opener for me. I was superbly impressed with the variety of setups that they have, all in the comfort of a sheltered studio… it definitely eliminates the stress of bad weather like how it poured heavily right before my PWS 🙁
Aulifo Libli is founded by Yukiko and Alfred who specialized in Japanese-style bridal and makeup services. Yukiko has eight years of extensive training and experience in a reputable Japanese beauty salon in Japan and Europe, she even provides facial services at the comfort of your own home too! For this particular shoot, I requested Yukiko to incorporate Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette into this series of look as I noticed that it is her forte~
This series moodboard steered towards a casual countryside vibe cuz I wanted to flaunt my Emu Australia Catrillis in Sand! Though I admit to hitting quite a few roadblocks when pairing this particular pair of shoes to my usual style, I’m happy that this very combination reminds me very much of my days down under (psst, and they are really comfortable too) 🙂 I’ll be posting the next series real soon! x
