#50ShadesofAsh at Bloc+

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

At Bloc+ to finally bleach my hair, yay!! I have been under Celia for almost 5 years and she is still my favorite hair stylist ever. Even my husband has made the switch and only trust the skills of the hairstylists in Bloc+ to work through his ultra thick hair~

Unlike most who bleach their hair for dramatic reasons, I usually do it so that my fine hair and oily scalp gets “damaged” and thus becomes more dry, resulting in more voluminous hair. A tip my HK stylist gave me back when I was an undergraduate and very new to beauty 😜 “damaged” because my hair ain’t exactly spoilt, Celia is very careful and always used opalex to ensure my hair remains in good condition despite bleaching!

All the little tricks to cheat life a little, without going through drastic changes nor burn a hole in my pocket with too many hair products.. hehehe. In fact, I’m super lazy. I don’t even apply any treatments or oil when I tong my hair, so Celia always give me a fuss free low maintenance hairdo; cuz she knows~

But no matter the crazy colors I’ve tried, I’ve always ensured that there’s still some sort of ash involved – somehow it is the color that suits my skin tone best and last the longest! Let’s recap on how I’ve played around with the color over the years…

I have been a brunette,

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

tried ash brown,

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

had purple streaks,

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

even been a blonde (and boy do I miss that),

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

got my dad green with envy,

Bloc+ Blocthesalon

attempted to be Mystique πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

and now… I’ve gone pink! πŸŒΈπŸ’—

Told Celia I want unicorn hair next and she rolled her eyes at me. Lol. I guess not then 😜😜 Current hair goals is to either go all ash blonde again or to have an ombre purple~ What do you think? x
