Review & Swatches: RMK SUMMER 2017 COLOR MOSAIC NAIL POLISHES

RMK SUMMER 2017 Nail Polish Swatches

Can’t believe we’re almost halfway through the year… where did all the time go?! Finally have time to give my nails a rest in between my monthly gelish manicures so I decided to do up some nail swatches since it’s been awhile 🙂 Earlier this year, RMK repackaged (and reformulate for some of) their products and had a major launch.. within it was a beautiful selection of RMK Summer 2017 Color Mosaic Nail Polishes – that can be mistaken for a lippie at first glance due to the longer and sleeker tube that’s different from our usual options. Today’s post will unveil 8 new shades in 3 finishes – Clear (CL), Pearl (P) and Shiny (SH). For easy comparison, I’ve taken the liberty to swatch my index and middle finger with a matte top coat, while the rest is with the usual clear top coat:

RMK Base Coat N, Clear and Matte Top Coat

Last but not least, a quick review of the base and top coat. The RMK Base Coat N has a tinge of purple hue that helps emulate the color of natural, healthy nail when worn on its own. As for the top coats, I personally prefer matte to glossy nails any day but one thing to note is that the former chips off much quicker than its clear/glossy counterpart. My only tiny gripe is the difficulty in differentiating between the Clear and Matte Top Coat due to the identical packaging with no clear indication to separate them apart; so I indicated with my marker at the bottom instead, no biggie :B Overall, they are very wearable shades that’s easy to apply and quick-drying – especially if you’re using the matte top coat. Anyone’s a fan? x
