Review & Swatch: Shu Uemura Tint In Balm

Shu Uemura Tint In Balm

Hello you all! Today, I’m here to review three gorgeous, vibrant lippies from Shu Uemura. These three stars from Shu’s Tint In Balm range are my go-to lippies these days, as they’re very portable (think slim, sleek packaging), and provide my lips a much-needed touch of extremely vivid, bright colour!

Shu Uemura Tint In Balm

As the name suggests, the Tint In Balm lippie is well, a tinted lip balm, lol. However, these lippies are a little more pigmented than your run-of-the-mill tinted lip balm; you’ll see swatches of these three colours in a bit! These lippies are SO vibrant, and will easily add a pop of colour if you’re looking for something to spice up your everyday makeup routine.

Also, because it is a balm after all, these lippies are extremely moisturising, and glide on to your lips like butter 🙂 The end result is a lovely shiny sheen of colour on your lips, without the excessive stickiness of lip gloss. In fact, you barely feel like there’s anything on your lips at all!

These lippies also come with a unique click applicator instead of your usual twisty lipsticks, with each click dispensing just the right touch of product for your lips. This ensures that the actual lipstick itself doesn’t get broken or chipped, and allows for even application every single time!

No amount of editing can do these swatches justice! You can see that these lippies have an extremely strong colour payoff, and stand out really well against my rather tanned skin. The colours are also specially designed and formulated to flatter Asian skin tones! Also, the staying power of these lippies are worth a mention. When I tried to clean my arm, the lippies left quite a tough stain on my arm so I ended up having to REALLY scrub my arm to get rid of the colour!

The lippies retail at SGD42, and come in seven other colours (10 in total). I’m definitely looking forward to checking the rest of the range out at the Shu Uemura counters. I’m eyeing a few more colours already 🙂
