My dear fatty fixed up some diy stuff for me last night, leading me to be so inspired to catch up on flatlays today! Also serve as a good trap on some blatant copycats as of late ✌🏻️Oh yes, they have turned plural. Detest the herd mentality sometimes, whatever happened to individuality?

Anyway, a happy picture of us catching some pokemons at MBS yesterday. Supposed to celebrate his b’day but he felt like it’s the other way round. Hahahaa.

So pretty; I didn’t know MBS have such a pretty lotus pond.

Anyway, after running a day of my errands and debating whether we should still go ahead for our dinner date… I’m glad we did.

I was first exposed to Maison Ikkoku after a girls night out with Linda, who knows my love for mixology. To me, they are like drinkable art pieces concocted from all things “exotic” (fresh fruits, herbs, flowers and sometimes their own alcohol infusion) instead of the usual syrupy cocktails.

Then, I learnt about their other cafe/bar at fort canning art museum. They serve a 12 course omasake at only $68 each, so I’ve decided to bring Akira along for his birthday celebration!

After getting settled on our cocktails, it was time for our food to be served 😊 Oh this was one of my favorite for the time! Cucumbers with asian dressing, it was so appetizing for starters I wanted more!

If you’re lucky, sometimes they will let you try their own infused vodka and whiskey too! I love the sour plum of course~ and the pandan was yummy!

Off my head, we also had pork belly skewer, aburi salmon, scallop, foie gras sushi (so good omg) and this… Lobster udon that was amazing!

The food keeps getting better, fatty was surprisingly pleased at my choice – which was unusual, our hipster cafe hopping always ended up with him criticizing my bad choices.

Fatty wasn’t a fan of cocktails (duh) so Adrian whipped him up an old school pecan whisky that smells of smoky rosemary and orange. This man is now impressed! I kept stealing his glass to smell, can we do a fragrance version of it? 😝

And here’s my cocktail! Fresh melon and sour plum infused vodka cocktail, adorned with pretty hydrangeas! Something light to end my meal, just the way I like it 😊

Right before dessert, we were served with fresh salmon burger in teriyaki sauce. 😍😍😍 Sadly, I find the dessert a little underwhelming though. Was hoping to end it with a big bang! Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable and moolahs well spent πŸ‘πŸ»
