Introducing to you the newly launched Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque and Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque! I have considered combining this post with relevant #maskaholic topics but the event itself was so beautifully set up, I couldn’t help but want to share these beautiful snapshots with you guys – which is rare for I avoid blogging about events for fear of my blog looking too over-commercialised, this shall be an exception 🙂
This was my first time popping by Dempsey House, and the nature-inspired event setup was a good feast for my eyes to get some #operationkitties inspiration. You will soon see that almost every shot in this place is so instagram-worthy!
They even have a little herb corner for us to make our own floral bouquet with some ingredients found in Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque and Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque. Both retailing at SGD$49 each for 75ml.
My little bouquet with loads of foliage and whites
Started with some yummy mushroom and tofu salad that I quickly wiped clean without a thought as the presentation of both products begin..
First up, Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque that is formulated to invigorate and brighten one’s skin appearance for a healthy, illuminated look. It works as an “instant facial” for dull, fatigued skin and restore a healthy, rosy appearance instead.
The texture is pretty thick, like a paste, with crushed cranberry seeds within the formula to gently exfoliate the skin. While the Tumeric aims to soothe and detox, the cranberry aims to brighten. Although suitable for sensitive skin, some may find the warming sensation quite alarming initially, it didn’t agitate my skin and I really love the sweet “fizzy” scent that I can’t quite put my finger to. If you’re keen on trying out clay masks that are much gentle and moisturizing than the traditional ones, this would be your best bet – the gentle exfoliation is a bonus too. However, if you’re like a hard-core clay mask junkie like me, Kiehl’s Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque may be a bit too mild for your liking; I would rather save this for bad skin days where my skin needs a little boost and maintenance.
Commercial break time! Main course served was roasted tumeric chicken with mashed potatoes and carrots. It was a better dish than the fish, which was a tad too drying, and the potatoes are divine 🙂
Next up: Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque. An innovative 99.6% naturally derived facial masque that replenishes while protecting skin from damaging effect of pollution. Basically, it defends and replenishes skin to reduce the visible effects of pollution while helping to prevent impurities from adhering to skin.
Although this would be more suitable for peeps with dry skin, living in dry climate.. I can foresee this selling like hotcakes during our annual haze season. A highly emollient leave-on masque that is very moisturizing, this masque helps strengthen skin from harmful pollutants while we sleep, fights skin damage and thus prevents premature aging. This masque smells like toothpaste and may be off-putting to some, but get past that and you will appreciate the goodness it does in healing your skin.
Ending this lovely event with my favorite dish, desserts~ I think it was panna cotta something something, I don’t care, it’s just so yummy! I might just be back to Dempsey House just for the desserts!
All in all, I reckon that you should give these masques a go by popping by any Kiehl’s counter to request for samples. Different masques works for different people, and if you are given the opportunity to try it out before you commit to it, why not? x
